Hi guys! I have a bit of
a themed post today! Taking inspiration from the Pantone Colour of the year (Rose
Quartz) and Glossier beauty products pink branding, I have a few of my favourite pink beauty products to share with you and the #glossierpink
Pinterest board!
I lusted after this palette
so much! I do like it but not as much as I thought I would unfortunately but
everything about it is so cute from the packaging to the heart shaped pans
inside! I got the Melted Lipstick in a set at Christmas and I’m in love with
the formula! So long lasting, not sticky and it’s the perfect shade of pink!
This is one of my
absolute favourite blushes and the one 9 times out of 10 I will take with me
when I’m travelling somewhere and don’t have much room for makeup. Its matte,
pigmented and long lasting and makes me look healthy and just the right amount
of flushed!
I got this mini in a
duty free haul here and it’s come in so handy! It gives a really light wash of
colour on the lips but feels so hydrating and what’s not to love about minis!
l-r: The Balm Down Boy, Benefit Posiebalm, Too Faced Melted Peony
Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar
This is a limited
edition Christmas bubble bar that like my beloved Snow Fairy, I savour before
using up! It smells sweet like vanilla candy, gives the best bubbles and makes
my skin feel so soft when I get out of the bath! I usually split it in two because
when it’s gone it’s gone!
Ah how could I not
include Soap and Glory in a post about pink! Their products are some of my
favourites and you are all probably sick of me bleating on about them! Mist you
Madly is probably my favourite scent ever, it’s so musky and long lasting and
the bottle is perfect for throwing in your handbag! I also love the Original
Pink perfume which is a lot lighter but just as long lasting and has such a
pretty bottle! Finally another two handbag essentials for me are the Hand Maid
hand sanitizer and Hand Food hand cream! I love popping these out to freshen up
and moisturise whenever I want!
This was a welcome
addition in a gift with purchase from Cult Beauty as I had wanted to try
Aurelia skincare for ages! It’s a cream texture and I love the smell of
eucalyptus when I’m massaging it into my face! I then remove it with the muslin
cloth that came with it and it does a great job of getting rid of my makeup and
making me skin feel super soft!
Finally, I have a few
slightly different shades of pink nail polish! First up is the most pink, Nails Inc Gel Effect in Chiltern Street.
Then we have the most affordable, Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Rose Hip. Next we have my favourite formula;
OPI Nail Envy in Bubble Bath and
finally my favourite shade, Essie Fiji. All
look amazing with a tan and I have a feeling these will be on rotation from now
till September!

Let me know what your
favourite pink products are of if you have tried any of these! I might have also enjoyed doing this theme so much I have a few other colour focus posts coming up!
I was
recently contacted by JewelleryBox.co.uk asking if I wanted to try out their
jewellery and having seen their cute packaging and even cuter pieces crop up on
Instagram and blogs I wasn’t going to say no! JewelleryBox are an online
jewellery (obviously!) retailer based in the UK that launched in 2014. Their
mission it is to bring real jewellery to us at costume jewellery prices! My type
of company! Their website is jam packed full of both classic and quirky designs
and I loved having a browse through all the different types of jewellery and
finishes!
My package
came quickly and with the products wrapped in their distinctive style! It was
such a treat and I almost didn’t want to open them! When I did though I was
treated so more of the same charming attention to detail with cardboard gift
boxes, individually wrapped pieces and most importantly mini pegs! I was lucky
enough to receive a mix of bracelets, a necklace and a ring all of which I
would have picked myself so thanks Gemma!
First up, the sterling silver necklace with diamond cut ball* (£8.95) which has a lovely short chain
and gorgeous detailing on the ball!
Then we have the sterling silver arrow bracelet* (£5.25) and sterling silver tree branch bracelet* (£6.35). I love how these look on my wrist! I have
been wearing them together as well as apart and got so many compliments on how fine
they are! These both have lobster claps on too and I was worried about getting
them on and off when I was by myself but I actually managed it pretty easily!
Finally, the sterling silver plain band ring* (£5.85). I didn’t actually
know my ring size as I usually just pick up small or medium so to be on the
safe side I was sent an adjustable one. It was only when I was linking to it I
saw this this is a toe ring! I didn’t know this at the time but it fits
perfectly on my ring finger so I will be keeping it there! It’s easily adjusted
but doesn’t lose its shape or look bent and it’s such lovely quality!
With
affordable jewellery I find that rings are usually the first to tarnish or turn
green but this and the other pieces I was sent are all metal quality stamped
925 so you can be assured they are high quality. These will definitely be
pieces I will come back to time and time again!
Have you
tried anything from Jewellerybox.co.uk? Where is your favourite place to buy
jewellery?
P.S. Sorry if the text is all different sizes in this post, still having laptop/google chrome issues :(

a PR sample that was sent to me. All opinions are my own.
Here we are, a little later than usual due to major laptop issues but I
thought I would round up what’s in my large Z palette after my small Z palette post went down so well!
I actually bought this large palette to depot my Tarte Holiday
blockbuster set then realised it didn’t fit. I was going to send it back then
ended up buying a contour pan that didn’t have a home so kept it and got the
extra large palette to depot the Tarte set!
First up, I have two Makeup Geek contour powders in the shades
Infidelity (cool fair) and Break Up (cool porcelain). I was so excited when
these came to BeautyBay.com and they do not disappoint! Both are cool toned,
finely milled and lovely and pigmented. They do kick up a bit of powder when I
dip my brush in but are so easily blended I’ll forgive them!
Moving down to the bottom of the palette I have a Benefit mixed blush
in Dandelion and Gimme Fever which I depotted from a Christmas set I got a few
years ago called the Groovy Kind-a-Love set. I haven’t actually used this, how
bad it that! It’s a little too shimmery for my liking but I’ll give it a go now
it’s in a palette I reach for daily!
Over to the right hand side I have my Makeup Geek blush in Spellbound.
I wasn’t overly fussed on the other shades but I love this one! It’s a matte
pink colour and actually really subtle even though it has the same Makeup Geek
pigmentation!
l-r: contour pans in Infidelity and Break Up, Benefit Blush in Dandlion and Gimme Fever and Makeup Geek Blush in SpellBound
Back up to the top row then I have six eyeshadows, five from Makeup Geek and one Morphe single eyeshadow! The top row is Makeup Geek Bedrock and
Concrete Jungle then Morphe Granite and the bottom row is the Makeup Geek foiled finish in Starry Eyed and Mesmerized and finally another matte brown
shade (my fave) Americano. I will probably switch my small Z palette around a
bit now I have some more shades and I love Americano so that definitely needs
to go in it! I wore Mesmerized out on Saturday night and it was gorgeous on! So
shimmery and zero fallout! I also need to get my hands on more of the Morphe
single eyeshadows, they are really pigmented and so affordable! My continual stalking of BeautyBay shows no
signs of letting up!
l-r: Bedrock, Concrete Jungle, Granite
l-r: Starry Eyed, Mesmerized, Americano
Sorry the formatting of this post looks weird, Chrome wont open for me, think I will have to get a new laptop :(
What do you think of my extras? As always I’m open to recommendations :)
I've had the photos taken for this post for what seems like months but
just haven’t got around to writing it up! I was so excited to see what Soap and
Glory would come up with when they had a few new releases recently but have to
say I wasn’t as blown away as I thought I would be and only picked up a few
things! Most of these aren’t even that new anymore but anyway here are my two
cents!
If you’ve read my posts on the Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer or
their brow product’s before you will know I love the brand and am a little
obsessed with their makeup! Along with another new brow product to add to my
ever growing collection, I picked up a few of their new Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Matte Lip in Pretty Muted and Berry Much (£3.50). Being a big fan of the original gloss sticks, I couldn’t wait
to try these matte versions at only £3.50! My lips get dry very quickly so I
wasn’t expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and
non-drying these feel! They are super creamy and long lasting and I’m really
impressed! Pretty Muted was more pink than I was expecting as I thought it
would be more mauve in tone and Berry Much is purple not berry which was a
little disappointing for me but the formula is gorgeous! Pretty Muted wears off
so well too and doesn’t leave a line round my lips and I know I’ll get so much
wear out of this!
The Soap and Glory Brow Putty Dip Pot and Brush in Dark Chocolate (£10) is an innovative little product that comes with an
angled brush on one end and a screw pot on the other end with product in. Now, while
this is handy for on the go it is also a slight nuisance as the pot is so
narrow and both the casing and product are so dark it makes it difficult to see
what how much you are putting on the brush. There is also nowhere to take off excess
product without making a mess on the side of the screw cap so it ends up being my
hand that gets messy! Once you get over this the product inside is lovely,it’s a great colour for my brows and
very easily blended into my brows for a natural but defined look that is easily
buildable depending on how dark you want your brows!
Have you tried any of the newbies to the collection? I can’t wait for the
new lipsticks!
Another month another empties post! I wasn’t actually going to do this
for another few weeks but my box was overflowing so thought I’d go ahead and
post!
Bodycare
Eucerin Intensive Lotion
I talked about this in a products I’m loving post here as it is the
BEST thing for dry, itchy legs! I had random eczema patches on my legs a few
years ago and this was the only thing that helped so I like to have a bottle of
it to hand at all times! Already repurchased!
This shower cream featured in this post I did about the shower gels I currently have on rotation. Its creamy, moisturising and smells like cocoa!
Cocoa isn’t my favourite scent but I love Nivea shower gels and already have
another of their scents in my stash!
Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff 3 in 1 Body
Scrub
I haven’t had the best of luck with Cocoa Brown products unfortunately,
the first bottle of tan I bought had a aerosol type pump for the mousse tan and
broke off halfway through the bottle so I couldn’t finish it and this scrub I
won in a giveaway was really runny and didn’t lather up so I ended up using it
up very quickly! It’s pink in colour and I love the smell of it, it’s the same
as the tan with the Tahititan scent but I wouldn’t purchase it for myself as I
didn’t find it that effective.
Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter
This shows up quite a lot in my empties post as its one of my
favourite moisturisers. It’s rich, hydrating and dries in quickly. I love the
smell of it and it’s so handy that it comes in a tub as you don’t waste any of
the product when you are coming to the end of it! Already got a backup!
Skincare
Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion for Face and Eyes
I bought this last year in this haul as I wanted a toner that was
alcohol free and so I wouldn’t go through my Glow Tonic so quickly. This is
rose scented but it didn’t irritate my skin and I ended up being really
impressed with it. It didn’t dry out my skin and I would definitely purchase
again in the future.
Soap and Glory Speed Plump All-Day Super
Moisture Marvel
I really liked this too even though I’m not the bniggest fan of Soap
and Glory skincare (much prefer their makeup and bodycare range) It’s light and
hydrating and sinks into the skin quickly leaving a nice base for makeup or
primer. I would definitely repurchase this again in the future and I want to
try the night time version too at some point!
Cult 51 Immediate Effects Serum and Night
Cream*
I don’t normally include sachets in my empties as I don’t get enough
uses out of them but I was sent 3 of these and they have lasted me ages as it’s
an eye serum. It’s a lovely light gel like serum and I have found since using
it nightly from around January the skin around my eyes is a lot smoother and I have
less white bumps under my eyes. I don’t have many wrinkles so can’t say much
for that and as it’s so expensive I won’t be repurchasing just yet but will
definitely keep it in mind for the future when I do need more help! The night
cream cropped up here and I love how it feels, it’s really hydrating, sinks in
quickly and makes my skin so soft. Unfortunately it's £125 for the full size so
I won’t be repurchasing but it was lovely while it lasted L
Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa
Cleansing Balm
I love this and talked about it in more detail here but basically it’s
the most luxurious cleanser ever and so effective at getting makeup off (including
eye makeup!) I already have a backup but I’m going to try to use a few others
up before opening!
Cowshed Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm
I got this in a beauty box ages ago and while I love the orangey smell,
it wasn’t long lasting enough on my lips overnight so I wouldn’t
repurchase!
Caudalie Polyphenol Anti-Wrinkle Defense
Serum
This was a super tiny sample that again I got in a beauty box but I was
only able to get a few uses out of it. It was nice and light but I couldn’t see
any difference, I have a slightly larger sample from another beauty box I’m
using at the minute but doubt I would repurchase!
Haircare
VO5 Plump it Up Dry Shampoo
This is another regular feature in my empties, I love this stuff! I
have a more in-depth review here but basically it leaves no white cast, smells
lovely and is really affordable!
L’Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strength
I love having these size hairsprays and I think I got this in a beauty box
too. I prefer hairspray with hold so probably wouldn’t repurchase as I think
this is more of a finishing spray although it was lovely and lightweight and
brushed out easily!
Makeup
Rimmel Lasting Finish Skin Perfecting
Primer
I've written about this in another post here as I was so impressed with
it. It’s a white cream that really made my makeup sit better and last longer
and it’s so affordable. I will repurchase in the future but have too many
primers to go through at the minute so will be trying to make my way through them first!
NYX HD Concealer
I love this stuff and this is my second tube. It’s creamy, lightweight and
gives such good coverage! I already have a backup in the same colour which I
have started using but they seem to have changed their shade range so it’s much
more orange and I have to do a lot more blending which I’m a bit disappointed
with so will get the lighter shade next time!
Soap and Glory Kick Ass Blur and
Brighten Concealer
Another concealer I love! I use this under my eyes before I put on
foundation every day and it really brightens the area and offers good coverage!
I have already repurchased but it’s broke so I need to return it! That’s the
only bad thing about this concealer, if it gets dropped its very likely the
crayon will break off from the packaging! Not having much luck with concealers
at the minute!
Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Holidays
Waterproof Mascara
I got this in a free gift and I love it! It’s a drier formula than I usually
go for but it gives so much volume and separates my lashes really well! Already
have a backup!
Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting
Spray
I was so disappointed with this as you will see in this post as I
usually love anything by Urban Decay! It did nothing to make my makeup last any
longer but I’ve since found another more affordable setting spray that I love
so I won’t be repurchasing this!
So there we have it, another empties! I can’t believe how quickly that
box filled up and this post is still ridiculously long despite me trying to do
them more often – sorry! Let me know what you thought of any of the products I
finished if you’ve tried them!

a PR sample that was sent to me. All opinions are my own.
I have a little update post on my now finished small Z
palette of Makeup Geek eyeshadows! You can read my first post on the original
shadows I ordered here! Since then I've become a little obsessed reading
everyone’s collection posts and looking up swatches online! If you’ve read my
blog before you’ll maybe know I like a neutral brown eyeshadow (understatement
of the century.) So, it’s no surprise that what we have here are eight shadows
of varying degrees of brown neutralness and one creamy shimmer colour!
The first four shades I picked up were Taupe Notch,
Barcelona Beach, Mocha and Homecoming followed quickly by Hipster then Shimma
Shimma, Pretentious and Bada Bing. Latte was the elusive last shade that I
could not get my hands on as it was always out of stock. This of course made me
want it even more and now I have it it’s my least favourite shade! Just a touch
too warm toned for me unfortunately but I am trying to embrace warmer colours
so it does still get used!
Top - Shimma Shimma, Hipster, Taupe Notch, Middle - Homecoming, Pretentious, Barcelona Beach, Bottom - Latte, Mocha, Bada Bing
My most used shades are definitely Barcelona Beach or
Hipster all over the lid with Mocha in the crease for during the day then Bada
Bing on my lash line and Shimma Shimma as an inner corner highlight and lightly
on my brow bone. I love having the other shimmer colours as options for a
smokier eye but don’t tend to wear them on a day to day basis.
Sorry these photos are all different sizes, editing is not
my strong point and PicMonkey is so slow for me!
l-r - Shimma Shimma, Hipster, Taupe Notch
Make up Geek describes these as:
Shimma Shimma – metallic champagne
Hipster - dark sand
and light taupe tan with a slight shimmer
Taupe Notch - taupe (with shimmer)
l-r - Homecoming, Pretentious, Barcelona Beach
Homecoming – medium brown with gold shimmer
Pretentious – metallic bronze
Barcelona Beach – medium sand shade with a matte finish
l-r - Latte, Mocha, Bada Bing
Latte – matte medium brown
Mocha – deep matte brown
Bada Bing – deep brown with flecks of gold
I've also just got my hands on a few of the foiled
eyeshadows and oh my god they are so pigmented and buttery! I love how they fit
in the Z palette and can be easily moved about depending on what you want to
take with you if you are travelling. To make it perfect it should really have a
black shade but I have so many already I decided against ordering one just for
the sake of having a ‘complete’ palette.
The quality of these eyeshadows is right up there with my
Urban Decay and Too Faced which are my favourites! I’m so glad Beauty Bay stock
these as well as the contour shades and the blushes which I also have a couple
of! Have you got any shade recommendations for me?
