I do empties posts often enough now I thought I would put
together a post featuring some old favourites of mine that are repurchased
again and again and I can’t see myself switching up anytime soon!
First off we have my favourite makeup removal team, I always
do a double cleanse at night and to begin with I will take a few cotton pads
and use my Nivea Lotion for normal skin to dot on my face and gently remove my
makeup. The Soft & Pure Cotton wool cosmetic pads are so absorbent and the
Nivea is really creamy and works well to remove the bulk of my makeup before I
go for my second cleanse (where I usually use a balm or oil cleanser).
To remove my eye makeup which daily includes eyeshadow and a
lot of waterproof mascara, I use an oil based eye makeup remover, my favourite
being the Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Make Up Remover. This is so gentle, it
doesn’t sting my eyes and most importantly, it’s very effective at removing my
eye makeup without me having to rub or drag my eyes.
Next up we have a few makeup repurchases including my
favourite daily foundation. If you like affordable high coverage with a good
range of shades for those with paler skin then Revlon ColourStay foundation is
your guy! It was included in my empties post last week and I mentioned then that
I started panicking recently when I could find my shade in any Boots stores for
weeks and thought they had discontinued it! I finally found it and bought two
which should keep me going for a few months! I used to favour applying this
with my fingers as it tends to set quite quickly so I like to use the warmth
from my fingers to help spread it evenly but recently I have really been
enjoying using a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to apply it! My
sponge is on its last legs though so I am thinking of upgrading to a Beauty
Blender soon!
I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer on make up in Boots
recently to restock my favourite concealer, Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer in Light, as I've hit pan and I use it daily so it won’t be long before it runs
out! I have a full post on this concealer and why I love it so
much already here but in short, it's creamy, has a peach tone to correct under
eye circles and a yellow tone for discolouration as well as a mini powder to
set and is the perfect size for handbags. I love it!
I also repurchased my favourite pressed powder – No7 Perfect Light Pressed Powder in Translucent and used a £3 off No7 voucher while doing
so (gotta love Boots offers). This is amazing at stopping shine on my oily t
zone and I never hear it getting raved about! With other powders I have to top
up at lunchtime and sometimes feel my makeup can look a little cakey afterwards
but with this I just apply in the morning and that’s me to the evening! It’s
amazing!
Last but not least, another product I feared had been
discontinued, my beloved VO5 Refresh Me Quick Dry Shampoo! The scent of this is
so fresh and clean and even better, it leaves no white cast! I’m so happy to
see this back in stock, I usually buy mine in Savers as it’s a little cheaper
and I hope it sticks around this time! One of my favourite shampoos was
recently discontinued and I can’t take anymore disappointment!
So those are my forever repurchased products that I can't
see myself replacing with other products any time soon! Have you tried anything
I’ve mentioned? What products do you constantly repurchase?

ohh I need to try that N7 powder. I agree, N7 is so good but everyone forgets about them!
ReplyDeletePam xo/ Pam Scalfi♥
Totally agree, they have some gems! Xx
DeleteI agree with Pam, No7 is so underrated and they offer some amazing products! I've never tried their powder before, but I love their eyeliner and their nail polishes! Thank you for sharing. :) <3

Exactly! I love their nail polishes too! The powder is amazing! Xx
DeleteI LOVE the concealer - it's great and one of the best affordable products I think! :)

It's the best! Xx
DeleteThe Revlon Colourstay and S&G Kickass are both products with fab formulas but unfortunately the shades didn't work out for me - if they did they'd be drugstore holy grails for me too! xx
ReplyDeleteJasmine Talks Beauty
That sucks! They definitely lean more on the pale/yellow toned side! Xx
DeleteThere are a few creams that I've been using for years so I keep purchasing them. I haven't tried this powder from No7 however I really like their products! x
ReplyDeletewww.elabellaworld.com
It's my favourite powder! When I try something new I sometimes think why did I even bother as nothing compares to it! Xx
DeleteThat concealer looks so good! I love the pink packaging too:)
ReplyDeleteNati
www.littlemissnati.com
The packaging is amazing! It gives such good coverage too! Xx
DeleteTwo in one makeup removers are amazing, I have the Nivea one myself although I do need to wash it off sometimes as it leaves a slight greasy residue. My concealer probably runs out the most :)
ReplyDeleteVelvet Blush | Beauty Giveaway
I go through both quite quickly! I use them daily though so its ok :) I don't find the Garnier one greasy, maybe give it a go next time! Xx
DeleteI've not tried the kick ass concealer but now I really wanna try it! xxx
ReplyDeleteKaran| studentbeautyhack
It's the best! I highly recommend if you can find a shade match :) xx
DeleteI really want to try that concealer from Soap and Glory!
ReplyDeletePaula
Thirteen Thoughts
It's so good! Great little kit for touch ups too! Xx
DeleteDefinitely get the Beauty Blender, you won't be disappointed!
ReplyDeleteMakeup Monster
Ah I want it more now! My RT sponge is definitely on its last legs so I will hopefully get it soon :) xx
DeleteI think I`m in minority here, but I actually did not like the original beauty blender. I got 2 in beauty boxes, but I just don`t understand the hype. They`re expensive and I think the shape of the RT one is a lot better, as it has more angles.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.beautynerd.co.uk
I only use the pointy side of the RT sponge so don't think the lack of a flat side would bother me but it is a lot of money for a sponge that will need replaced, I might get it if I can find a discount code :) xx
DeleteI've been wanting to try the soap and glory concealer for ages!
ReplyDeletehttp://claresloves.blogspot.com/
What are you waiting for! It's so good :) xx
Deleteoo I'm curious in the Nivea lotion to cleanse makeup! I didn't know soap and glory made concealers! The one thing I repurchase the most is kat von d tattoo liner!
ReplyDeleteMacarons and Mischief
I've heard such good things about that liner! I've been using the Nivea lotion since I was about 16 and I love it! Xx
DeleteNice products. I think Garnier and Nivea are the only two available in my country.
ReplyDeleteSTYLE VANITY
A good two to be available :) xx
DeleteI've used make-up wipes for years and just recently I've started having awful reactions to them so I've been looking for a decent remover - I've never had any trouble with any Nivea lotions so I'm definitely going to give this one a go! x
ReplyDeleteViva Epernay | Penhaligon's Giveaway
I love it, I don't think I would have ever picked it up and known that it could be used as a makeup remover if it wasn't for my mum but it's so effective :) xx
DeleteThat No 7 powder sounds right up my street!
ReplyDeletewww.saltandchic.com // UK Fashion Blog
It's so lightweight and the only one that actually mattifies my skin at the minute! Xx
Delete:) xx
ReplyDeleteAwesome products! I can see why you would repurchase them! I was looking for a new reliable dry shampoo, so I'll for sure check yours out!
ReplyDeleteCaroline | carolinevsworld.blogspot.com
It's the best! I hope you like it if you try it :) xx
DeleteI really love the Soap & Glory kick ass concealer! I haven't tried that foundation and it looks so good! xx
ReplyDeleteThe perks of being a hipster- Christmas Yankee Candle Giveaway!
It gives such good coverage, they work so well together! Xx
DeleteCompletely agree with the Soap & Glory Kick ass concealer! My boyfriend dropped it a few months back and it fell apart. I went out and bought a new one the next day! No regrets :D
ReplyDeletewww.eselle.org
Not when it comes to Soap and Glory :) xx
DeleteI really want to test out some Soap and Glory products, I've heard such great things! Lovely post :)
ReplyDeletexo Kiki
http://colormekiki.com/
Thank you Kiki, hope you get to try them soon :) xx
DeleteI'm running out of my current eye makeup remover and was looking for a new one to try. I'll pick up Garnier based on your recommendation and I think it'll be cheaper than the one I'm currently using from Marcelle. xx
ReplyDeleteShireen | Reflection of Sanity
I hope you like it if you do! such a great budget buy! Xx
DeleteI love dry shampoo ! Especially the CoLab :) but here in Italy (I really don't undersand why) dry shampoos are not so popular... so there aren't many brands :(
ReplyDeletewww.aishettina.blogspot.it
I still need to try CoLab! Xx
DeleteOoh, I'm looking for a new under-eye concealer as I think mine just brings out my bags at the moment instead of hiding them! I need to try out that Soap and Glory one you mentioned above, it looks like it could be a good alternative! x
ReplyDeleteLucy Amelia | flawedfairytale
It does a great job of covering mine! If it's a good colour match for you I really reccomend it! Xx
DeleteThe revlon colourstay foundation has been on my list to buy for ages but I always struggle with shades with my medium skintone but I have heard too many good things about this little guy.
ReplyDeleteSara Ali | www.saraswonderland.com
It's definitely the best drugstore foundation I've ever used! I feel like I've seen a few new shades recently too so maybe they are expanding the shade line! Xx
DeleteI'm a big fan of the Garner Micellar Water but I've actually never tried this 2 in 1 eye makeup remover. Definitely need to pick it up when I'm in store next x
ReplyDeleteBeauty with charm
It's so good at removing eye makeup! The oil in it makes it so easy, definitely pick it up when it's on offer :) xx
DeleteI've never heard about this dry shampoo before! (:
ReplyDeleteNati xx

DeleteCotton wool pads are my absolute re-purchase essential! These other products I've never tried, but I'll have to give them a go! x
ReplyDeletehttp://whiteshirtchic.blogspot.co.uk/
I'm so fussy with cotton wool pads! I love how absorbent these are! Xx
DeleteExcellent suggestions! I've found that a lot of times it's drugstores that have the best products, you just really have to know what you're looking for (i.e., study the ingredients.)
ReplyDeletePonds Cold Cream is probably my favorite drugstore purchase that I always go back to. It's so simple it's almost stupid, but that's the thing I love about it -- there are no obnoxious gimmicks. It's just so effective!
Love your little blog, by the way :)
-Alex
A Northern Light
I tried Ponds Cold Cream once because I had heard so many good reviews but it broke me out so bad! I do love using a cream cleanser though so the Nivea is perfect for me! Xx
DeleteThanks for talking about these items, I've heard great things about the Revlon foundation and I've been wanting to try it out!
ReplyDeletexoxo Emily

It gives such amazing coverage and lasts all day on me! Xx
DeleteGreat post. I love Garnier's micellar water personally, use it everyday. :)
ReplyDeleteAnything & Everything | Bloglovin'
I haven't tired that before but if it's anything like the eye makeup remover I'm sure it's amazing! Xx
DeleteI really want to try out some Garnier skincare products as I've been hearing amazing things about them lately (especially about being dupes for Bioderma) but its so hard to find in my area :( Grrrr online shopping is now my life in a nutshell haha.
ReplyDeleteeightbitbeauty.blogspot.com
Shopping online is so handy! I haven't tried Bioderma either but I've heard so many great things about it! Xx
DeleteCool products, I want to try them all)))

DeleteI constantly repurchase the Johnson's make up remover wipes for dry skin, they're so affordable and so good, I haven't found better yet!
ReplyDeleteLauren Ashleigh xx
Johnsons used to do an eyemakeup remover that I loved then they discontinued it! The wipes sound great! Xx
DeleteThese look nice ♥♥

DeleteOmg VO5 is one of those brands (like The Beauty Shop and Lush) that constantly discontinues some really great products! That's one of the things I hate about using their products, you're always scared to love it so much because they might discontinue it lol.
ReplyDeleteZ · HELLOZAUNI.COM
Tell me about it! I wish I had bought more of this incase I can't find it again! The Body Shop just discontinued one of my favourite lip products :( xx
DeleteGreat picks, I love Garner make-up removers too! They're really gentle on my skin, and always take my make-up off so well. I haven't tried any of Soap and Glory's make-up line though. But I really like some of there bath and body products, so I definitely want to give the concealer a try.:)
